Dude, where's my grant money?

A linguist from the University of Pittsburgh has published a scholarly paper deconstructing and deciphering the word "dude," contending it is much more than a catchall for lazy, inarticulate surfers, skaters, slackers and teenagers.

About Us

A family of six bibliophiles. We've lived our entire lives in the Deep South and currently reside in the Atlanta area. During the day, Gaines schedules really big construction projects, but by night his superpower is translating Biblical Greek. Allison enjoys life at home with three adventurous boys and one little girl: teaching them, reading often, occasionally making crafty things, and coercing them into enjoying the great outdoors. We strive to fill our home with story and song, and truth, beauty, and goodness. We hope this little blog reflects that promise.
